Poseidon Operational Statement
Poseidon Oil Pipeline Company is receiving oil on its 24" segment between SS 332 and Houma. The 20" segment between SMI 205 and SS 332 returned to service on October 16th. Poseidon is receiving oil from points upstream of the SMI 205 Platform, including emergency flow from the Auger Pipeline.
The Auger connection became active April 1, 2008. As a result of the storm damage deliveries to Auger have been suspended. On October 29 at 7:00 am Poseidon reversed the connection to accept barrels from Auger upstream of SMI 205. Flow from SMI 205 to Houma will continue until such time as Auger begins accepting nominations to SS 28.
