Poseidon has the ability to forecast with relative accuracy,  both volume and quality for an extended period of time.  Since most of the production is contractually committed to Poseidon for the life of the reserves in exchange for firm capacity and a firm purchase and sale price, the pipeline can make projections based on the producer’s production profiles.  As existing projects decline and new development projects are successful and the crude is committed to Poseidon, the volume and quality of the common stream can change.  However, because of the long lead times for platform construction and installation, Poseidon can adjust the projections well in advance of the change in the common stream.
